About Jacalyn Prete

ECAT Experienced Certified Anusara® Yoga Instructor | Licensed  Health & Wellness Coach

Co-Founder & Former Licensing Director, Anusara School of Hatha Yoga

For more than three decades, I have guided students and teachers in discovering greater vitality, resilience, and joy through the wisdom  teachings of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and conscious community.

What inspires me most is guiding people toward simple, sustainable habits that support vibrant health, meaningful connection, and a deeper sense of purpose. Whether through  weekly yoga classes, retreats, teacher trainings, health coaching, or my Vibrant Living Tribe community, I love sharing practical tools that nourish the body, calm the mind, awaken the heart, and help bring the wisdom of yoga off the mat and into everyday life.

My yoga journey began in 1981 and led me to a path of lifelong study, practice, and service. Along the way, I found not only a transformative spiritual practice but also the community I had always dreamed of—a community dedicated to personal growth, compassion, and the upliftment of all beings.

IIn 2001, I became a Certified Anusara® Yoga Instructor, and years later added Health Coaching to my work. It felt like the missing piece. I could now combine the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda with practical lifestyle habits to help people create meaningful, lasting change—on and off the mat.

My work has taken me around the world, where I've had the joy of teaching, mentoring, and learning alongside extraordinary teachers and students. As Co-Founder and Former Licensing Director of the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga, I helped cultivate a global community that continues to inspire me with its generosity, curiosity, and shared love of yoga.

In 2004, my path crossed with Rudrani Farbman, Founder and Director of the World Yoga Center in New York City, and it has been one of the most meaningful collaborations of my life. Together, we've led teacher trainings, immersions, retreats, and meditation programs, witnessing hundreds of students grow in confidence, deepen their practice, and step into their own authentic way of sharing yoga with the world.

Today, my work is devoted to helping people embrace the second half of life with vitality, strength, and purpose. Through the Vibrant Living Tribe, health coaching, retreats, workshops, and yoga teacher trainings, I share practical tools that cultivate vitality, resilience, connection, and purpose.

I believe that vibrant health is not simply the absence of illness—it is the presence of enthusiasm, meaning, purpose, and joy.

My hope is that the tools, practices, and community I share will inspire you to create a life that feels strong, vibrant, and deeply alive—on and off the mat.
